Product Choices There are so many more choices these days! Considerations for you: do you prefer organic or synthetic materials? Does your flow change day to day (do you need a variety of flow coverages?) Are you planning to be active in sports or activities? Does your flow change when you sleep? Consider multiple options for various times of day! -Pads: teen/tween sizes, variety of flow coverage, even pocket-sized that fold out! Don't forget there are also reusable pads (think cloth diapers) if you choose. Look for organic vs synthetic materials, scented vs unscented. -Tampons: organic vs synthetic, a variety of sizes and shapes, applicators vs no applicators, multipacks or single-coverage packs -Period Underwear: various sizes, including teen/tween! Disposable vs reusable. Consider buying 2-3 pairs so you can wash and re-wear during one cycle. -Period Cups: sit inside the vaginal canal. Consider your size, whether you've had a baby or not, comfort level with material/flexibility, type of pull cord. You may want to try a variety of brands and types - sizes, flexibility of material, and shape of cup do matter and may impact your comfort! -Period Discs: Sit inside the widest part of the vaginal canal, just outside the cervix. Disposable or reusable. Some have a grip piece on the end to help you remove, some do not. Again, try variety of sizes/shapes until you find what you like! Consider getting disposable gloves to minimize soiling your hands
